Topic Networks

A Network is an abstract representation of a set of objects where some pairs of the objects are connected by links. The interconnected objects are represented by mathematical abstractions called nodes, and the links that connect some pairs of vertices are called edges. Typically, a graph is depicted in diagrammatic form as a set of dots for the nodes, joined by lines or curves for the edges.

It is a usual tool to represent topics from a Topic Map and the associations between them. At a first glance, we can use this repersentation for visual finding of relevant topics in our map and common associations. By making use of more elaborated techniques (from graph theory) we can discover hiden patterns in the structure showing relations that a simple analysis can't achieve.
 
In the philological analysis of some plays we built the following networks in order to extract more information than the usual analysis can provide:
